Emma is my reproduction milliner's model. Her head, forearms and legs from the knee down are maché. Her torso is cloth as are her thighs and upper arms. Emma is a 15 inch doll. She is aged and so is her attire. Milliner's models did not model hats. They came from millinery shops of the 1700's, and the word millinery stems from the a word for a thousand, which means these were department stores with thousands of items. Milliners models according to some doll experts were playthings only.
